It’s hard to turn the channel without bumping into rancorous political debate on how to control the cost of health care. Prescription pricing is a natural bone of contention and there are a lot of dogs at the bowl. The public debate on pricing has also been trickling down to several states sampling a range of approaches for wrist-slapping drug companies (who aren’t likely to stand for it.) Meanwhile, Medtronic’s Bill George is finding his true north with this argument, pointing his finger at the current administration as the author of all our woes. If you are interested in getting into the fray, there are plenty of opportunities (like this one focused on transparency in MAC pricing) to become an advocate for independent pharmacy.
