Our news feeds have been buzzing with email notifications this week following the release of the IMS National Prescription Spending Audit. No disrespect to the journalists doing their thing but some of the off-the-cuff remarks will be cringe-worthy for most of the independent pharmacy audience. A couple of industry-insider looks here and here at least attempt to paint a broader picture of issues that impact the rise in prices, while the business press and others read, in part, like a press release from PBM lobbyists.
