For much of the country, sun protection is a year-round focus. For those of us in the Midwest, spring is the tip-off. The Skin Cancer Foundation reminds us of this sobering reality: one in five Americans will develop skin cancer over his or her lifetime. One of our pharmacists ran across this somewhat graphic dermatology blog this week, which reminded us that it’s time to check our stock of sun protection packages and to remind our patients of the dangers of skin cancer.
