Smart-Take: Cervical Cancer

According to the National Center for Health Statistics, the incidence and mortality rate attached to cervical have dropped by 45 and 49 percent since 1980, respectively. However, screening rates vary widely with socioeconomic status and geographic location and cervical cancer mortality and incidence follow suit.

As the warmer weather and sunshine tempt us outdoors, the Skin Cancer Foundation reminds us of this sobering reality: one in five Americans will develop skin cancer over their lifetime. But there are some easy ways to protect yourself and your family.
