Kudos to St. George Pharmacy on Staten Island, winner of GNP Pharmacy of the Year at last week’s ThoughtSpot 2017. Owner Al Gentile has served his community for more than 30 years, which includes during the troubled aftermath of Hurricane Sandy when the pharmacy provided first aid supplies, batteries, and medications while everything else was closed. Other finalists included Dayton Drug and Wellness—a six-year-old, Tennessee-based pharmacy heavily focused on growing a strong vaccination program in its community—and Smart-Fill member Haig Pharmacy, serving the Glendale, California community for more than 30 years. Owner Anet Gabrielyan and her multilingual staff, delivering care in Armenian, Spanish, Farsi, Arabic, and Russian, has become a trusted health advisor to her widely-diverse community. Congratulations to all three finalists.
