Smart-Fill Presents Prescription Drug Safety Award
Tim Gallagher, president of Sterling Drug, and Smart-Fill consultant Tom Jackson flew to Washington, DC, this weekend to present the NCPA Prescription Drug Safety Award at NCPA’s annual conference. The award went to Brian Beach of the Kelley-Ross Pharmacy Group in Seattle and recognized Beach for his work in educating the community about opioid use and breaking down barriers that restrict timely access to naloxone, the drug antidote that reverses opioid overdose.
The award follows on the heels of Gallagher’s participation on a Minnesota state symposium on preventing opioid abuse. Smart-Fill is honored to recognize the efforts of Beach and other community pharmacists, including our own Sterling Drug and Sterling Long Term Care pharmacies, to make our communities healthier.
